Ingredients
- 4 cups of water (divided)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 lemons
Method

- Prepare the sugar water:
Heat 1 cup of water in a saucepan until it begins to boil. Add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved. Remove from heat. - Infuse the lemon zest:
Grate the zest of the lemons (avoiding the bitter white pith) and steep it in the boiling sugar water for 10 minutes. - Extract the lemon juice:
Cut the lemons in half and juice them thoroughly. - Mix everything:
Combine the lemon juice, the infused sugar water, and the remaining 3 cups in a large bowl. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve lined with a thin cloth for a smooth texture. - Freeze the lemonade:
Pour the mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe container. Please place it in your freezer. - Halfway frozen, serve immediately:
When the lemonade is halfway frozen, scoop it into serving dishes or glasses and serve right away for a refreshing treat. -
